Camp NaNoWriMo : First Day (July)

cold feet
warm nose
it’s summer
AC blows

I’ve committed to writing one lyric verse poem per day during July Camp NaNoWriMo. I did not commit to making it fabulous. Only to writing it.

In a fantastic stroke of fate, a free, open poetry class began the end of June. This one seemed placed directly in my path. My Facebook path—when a friend posted about the class. However, I’ve already missed one assignment. (I don’t get along well with classes any more.) Still, I’ve learned a few things simply by watching the video lectures.

So, here I am. Writing poetry in July because camp doesn’t work for novels. Novels get written only in full-on November NaNoWriMo.
