Animations - little movies

Here are some of my first attempts at animating art. You will need Quicktime to view the movies.

"Little Gods" is a remake. The original (at the bottom of this page) is no longer playable as a Projector so I remade it using iMovie, which is a much easier than using Director. I referenced the original by importing it into Director MX 2004. The sound and artwork are the same as used for the original.

The movies in this column were made in 1996 with POV Ray. They have no sound. The movies in this column have soundtracks. They were made with Director in 1996 and 1997. The movies in this column were made with Bryce 3 and Bryce 3D. They do not have sound.

The animation below is for Macintosh only. It is a Projector (self-running, stand-alone animation) made in 1996 with Director 6. It has a soundtrack of me singing "10 Little Egyptian Gods." If you don't have a Macintosh, this animation will be useless to you. Also, if you are running X it may not launch. You may have to restart in 9.

To view:

  1. Control/Click (or click and hold) on the image.
  2. Choose "Save linked file ..." from the pop-up menu (make sure you choose "source" if you get the choice).
  3. After you save the file, locate it on your hard drive. Double-click the file's icon (may only work in OS 9). It is self running and closes itself after it ends. If you want to watch it again, double click it.
