alien drifter

So this is what it looks like from the outside . . .

Hey. This is nice. I can be anywhere and post lame english drivel. yoo hoo. yee haw. it's, uh, Wednesday. I'm tired even though I slept great. Discovered my shoulder hurts from using a mouse. In honor of my son, Tim, who's coming home on Sunday, here's some metal working stuff.

I got a system upgrade so I can take advantage of the new iTunes store. The package should arrive today. I can hardly wait. This should also entertain Tim, who, I hope, will be doing lots of relaxing while he's at home.

If you want to learn HTML start a blog. This stuff is unforgiving and you can preview it before you post and catch those little things like that missing "/".

It's May and I have turned on the heat. I waited until it got to 65 degrees inside. It's supposed to be 47 tonight (outside). I'm thinking about changing the title of this blog to "going nowhere fast." I just found the motherload of Virginia film production information. There's Maslow Media with links on their site and other sites. My favorite is the call for a freelance producer. You get the film company work and they will kindly give you a business card, 20 percent of whatever they make and they'll let you produce the project. What a deal! I see what they mean by creative. The PBS link will hook you up with job lists at local stations.

Then there's Virginia Film Office where you can list yourself as a location owner (hey! that could be me!) or sign up as an extra (when they fix the page). A ton of good links there. Anyway, there's tons to do and what am I doing? Nothing. Think I'll watch a film.

Finally! A Saturday the way they're supposed to be!! Had opera experience last night: La Boheme. Totally terrific! Slept late ... til 9:11am. Yummy. It's cold and wet out. I'm in here enjoying being at home alone. Celebrate aloneness!!

Okay. He doesn't lie about everything. He did ride a bull once—in his dreams. the last bull

Here's the link to the DPMO. Here's the National Archives and Records Admin. . . . and just for the record, I DID repay the ALL money I borrowed!!

This is dis the ex. Steve Saunders was never a POW according to the official government list at the DPMO. This is not the only lie I've caught him in. He collects true stories and poems, them strips pieces from them and makes his own. Then he says he wrote them (poems) or lived it himself. If you are involved with him, I suggest you get out fast. I found out I can't trust him. He was once on the fraud list under "s." The list of real POWs is totally complete. Check out the DPMO. I'll post the link tomorrow.

I'm back online. Big deal. Anyway, here's a listing of Organic Clothing from my old favorites list. Last time I used it was February 2002. How time flies. How about Viking Tunic Construction. I guess I was looking to change my wardrobe. The Official Site of Houston will always be my favorite. Look at art and buy cool clothes (Catalog: Houston Apparel). While I'm going organic, there's herbs. It's late. I must sleep. I must stop doing this so late at night. Guess I don't need those herbs after all. Okay. One last old link: Gadget Universe. If they don't have it, it hasn't been invented yet.

My boyfriend is trying to break up with me. He would probably succeed if he quit telephoning and emailing me. Here's a definition of "effortless" which the relationship is NOT at this moment. I'm a little paranoid about a picture he took of me in the bath tub. If I were Faith Hill I would not be concerned. I'd just send him a bill. But since I am 52, overweight and don't work out, it's a pretty bad picture. So I put my name in the Google image search and a plethora of Elaine's came up. Woo hoo! 15 pages worth! Goes to show you that name has nothing to do with looks or personality. I'm changing my name to OldLadywithCrazyBoyfriend.

Hey, Wow! There's a tropical cyclone named after me! What about this amazing item? Oh, look! I'm a rat! That should make my ex-boyfriend happy!

Okay. Enough amusement for one day. Back to work.

cool new design. I've given up designing for the summer. I'm just going to hang out and enjoy whatever happens. I need a change. A new wardrobe, a new attitude, a new job. Something like that anyway. Life just keeps on moving into the future.
  • Alex the Girl has changed me. Maybe it will change you. Maybe not. Actually, I think it was reading all the stories that changed me and seeing how one person just jumped into things and how it's happening to many other women, too. I know that's vague. It all is vague.
  • I've also picked a new look for the home page of my website HeartWind Studio, except now it's just my personal site elaine's place. I used a template from my hosting service, Hostway. They have this thing called Site Studio that let's you design online. So far it's only bombed once, but then I've only made 2.5 pages.
