I'm am not finding anything to write here. I'm depressed, sad, angry and having trouble sleeping. Love! Who needs it! Not me. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, life goes on.

I'm thinking about changing the name of the blog. Like it matters. Useless ruminations make my life complete when I'm depressed. It can only go up from here.

Thank the gods for LL Bean waterproof hiking boots! It was harder to get to work today. I had to scrape a quarter of an inch of ice off of my car. Yesterday I just brushed off 6 inches of snow. I had to skate on the shoveled walks that are now iced. Where the walks weren't ice they were mush and icy pools of water. Thank goodness I know how to skate in hiking boots! I'm also very glad I work indoors. Maybe they'll let us out early so I can re-scrape the ice off my car and have plenty of time to get home to my nice, warm house.

In other news, the articles for the German words "question" and "answer" are feminine. Does this mean men don't ask questions? Fragen kostet nichts!

Just had a system and machine upgrade at work to Windoze XP (Is that XP for eXtra Problems?).Yeah it's faster, prettier and more robust. It's also stupider, more labor intensive and takes a lot longer to start up. Existentially, I'm a Taoist—reduce, reduce, reduce, simplify. I don't need to be impressed. I just need to get my work done, ok? It's either two shelves where none are needed or no shelves where two are needed. Do those people at Microsoft do any testing at all?

Looking for love? More men than women at Match.com. More women than men at Americansingles.com. Take your pick. What I want to know is where does Americansingles.com advertise? I've never seen an ad for their service. Looking for a spiritual love? Try eHarmony.com. I must warn you though, their personality test is really l-o-n-g.

"Fannette" has to be the best unrequited love song ever. Just go to Amazon.com and type in "Jacques Brel." (You might find this which is the recording I have—actually I have the record, not the remastered CD.) He's like the Seal of his generation (is that my generation?).

Time for seed and live plant catalogs. I'm drooling over all of them.

Burpee is very good. Their seeds always come up. Then there's a couple of plants: Blue Mist Snow Fairy (you know that has to be good) and Daylillies. The Snow Fairy would make a good, quick hedge. The Daylillies should go everywhere, they are so beautiful!

My favorite bulbs are from Breck's. I've never had any problems with them and they have some unique varieties. I've never been afraid to try some of their more unusual stuff because it always comes up.
